Embroidery Block of the Month

The Meaning of Life embroidery site is closing in a couple of weeks at the end of May, making this your final chance to create this beautiful quilt. We ran this class a few years ago, and the skills gained, along with the finished results were truly inspiring.

To make things more manageable, class fees ($30.00 per class) will be charged two months in advance rather than all 10 classes upfront. We do ask that you commit to the full course and support our business with your purchases, as running the class is also a significant commitment for us.

In previous classes, I completed much of the fabric cutting, so there will be a small additional fee to cover wear and tear on cutting equipment such as machines, mats, and blades. If you have your own cutting equipment, you’re very welcome to prepare your fabric yourself. Due to creating the cutting files myself, this made the cutting more efficient and less fabric was required.

You’ll bring your own embroidery machine along to do the stitching on. As each monthly block takes time to complete, you’ll likely finish one or two in class, with the remaining blocks to be completed at home in your own time.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn a range of techniques, including machine embroidery appliqué, quilting, sashings, piping, and binding your quilt entirely by machine.
